Our Sacred Heart Catholic Community has embraced Whole Parish Catechesis as our model of religious ‘education.’ Our faith family believes that parents are the FIRST and BEST formers of faith, and that the catechetical team as well as the entire congregation are ‘called’ to assist parents in their central role. This approach unites family life, faith and church!

Our Program meets for 5 sessions in the Fall and 3 sessions in the Spring. Special Parish Events are planned throughout the liturgical year to deepen spiritual experience and enhance our "Catholic culture."

The Program design is as follows: we celebrate Mass on Sunday at 9am which is more inclusive of the family and connected with the faith formation session which follows Mass. After Liturgy, we gather in The Parish Center for our ‘family’ sessions which include an adult component and age-appropriate components for the children and youth.

Please note: sacramental preparation is a separate component of Sacred Heart Faith Formation. All children and youth are required to complete one year in a faith formation program in the year prior to entering sacramental preparation.

Children/youth attending a Catholic school are also required to be in the parish faith formation program and sacramental preparation. Attendance at a Catholic school is not a ‘replacement’ for faith formation in the parish community.
