Shared Ministry. Beginning March 6 two lectors will be scheduled for each liturgy. The lector named after the number 1. will do the first reading and the Prayer of the Faithful. The lector named after the number 2. will process with the Lectionary at the beginning of Mass -- unless the deacon is assisting at the liturgy -- and do the second reading. (Refer to the special note for Palm Sunday weekend.)
Substitutes. If you are unable to fulfill any of your assignments, please arrange for a substitute / assignment exchange by calling someone else in this ministry. Names and phone numbers of all lectors are listed below. Do not call the Parish Center.
On Your Day of Service. On days you are lectoring, please remember to dress appropriately and plan to arrive at the Church at least fifteen minutes before Mass is to begin to:
(1) learn of any special aspects of the days liturgy;
(2) review the Prayer of the Faithful and learn the correct pronunciation of peoples names;
(3) check the Lectionary to be certain the ribbons are correctly placed to identify the pages where the readings are found. (If there are alternative readings or a long versus short form of a reading, determine which the presider wants read.);
(4) adjust the microphone to your height and be certain the public address system is on;
(5) check to make sure the stand to receive the Book of the Gospels is in place on the altar;
(6) establish whether you or a scheduled deacon will process with the Book of the Gospels;
(7) join your fellow ministers in the sacristy for the ministers prayer.
Attending Mass on Days You are Not Scheduled to Lector. Please stop by the sacristy to see if your services may be needed because the scheduled or substitute lector is not available to serve.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTER SCHEDULE
SEPTEMBER 4 & 5 THRU NOVEMBER 27 & 28
PLEASE NOTE:
September 5 is the last Sunday the 11am Mass will be celebrated for the season.
September 4 & 5 is the last weekend Masses will be celebrated in the
October 10 is the last Sunday the 8am Mass will be celebrated for the season.
Also, beginning October 16 & 17 the Mass Schedule will be 4pm Saturday AND 9:00am Sunday.
There will be 5 Eucharistic Ministers scheduled for the 4pm Saturday Mass--we need 7. The Sacristan will be looking for 2 volunteers.
In November: watch for the sign up sheet for the Thanksgiving Day
IMP: The December, January, February Eucharistic Minister schedule will be available in November in the stone church Sacristy. Please watch for it.
