            Community Dinners

A Wednesday tradition during the winter months.  Rotating teams of volunteers provide home cooked meals, free to those in our community, 5-6:30pm.  Food stuffs are provided by Sacred Heart.  Volunteers donate desserts and services.  Begins the first week after Columbus Day (October) until the 2nd Wednesday of May.  New volunteers and service groups are needed and welcome.  Coordinator:  Kathy Dorman      kathy@sacredheartcatholiccommunity.com.

Bereavement

Ministers provide emotional and spiritual support to individuals and families experiencing grief due to the death of a loved one.  They assist in planning the funeral liturgy (reading selection, and worship-aid preparation); assisting at the funeral liturgy when needed as altar servers, lectors and eucharistic ministers; providing wake and graveside services.  The Martha’s (a sub-group) provide food and hospitality after the service.  Coordinator: Kathy Dorman   kathy@sacredheartcatholiccommunity.com

Food Pantry

The Pantry provides food to those families in need (average 40 families a month) in the Lake George area.  The Pantry is open on the 2nd and/or 4th Friday each month, from 1 until 3 pm.  We request that our families use one of those two days. Families must reside in Warren County to be eligible.   It is coordinated by Carol and Joe Scrivo.  Volunteers are not needed at this time, however donations of items for our Food Pantry are always welcome.   Contact:   Kathy Dorman kathy@sacredheartcatholiccommunity.com
